Welcome to the homepage of Christophe Lalanne. I put on this website several documents related to my past or current work, along with handouts and tutorials used for academic teaching. Some of these documents are probably outdated but keep in mind that this website should be viewed as a placeholder for notes, summaries or reminders of some of my favorite readings.

Apart from my formal work, I'm currently writing 3 handbook on statistical analysis of biomedical data and assessment questionnaires. Two of those handbooks are targeted to a wide audience at the academic level. For the first one, entitled Manuel de Biostatistiques GNUappliquées, I don't ever know when it would (could?) be published. The second one aims at summarizing psychometric theory and applications in the areas of biomedical and linguistic assessment. Finally, the third one is a companion handbook for the book writte by Molenberghs and Verbeke (2002) about the analysis of longitudinal discrete data. All analyses were done with the R software (www.cran.r-project.org).

For those who might be interested in, my Resume is available in pdf (but still in French). A list of my scientific publications is also available. Since september 2006, I'm working as a psychometrician at the CIEP, mainly on the analysis and modelling of questionnaires and surveys in linguistic assessment.

It is very unlikely that this website would become nice enough to those accustomed to flashy webpages with lot of Flash, css or even javascript technology. I try nonetheless to conform to w3c standards (e.g. XHTML^MD 1.0 : Le langage de balisage hypertexte extensible). For technical reports, I mainly use LaTeX and XML. All of the documents are published in XHTML format (1.x standard, w3c), although one can find pdf or postscript articles. Finally, the whole website is administered on a laptop running MacOS X (after being a GNU/Linux addict for 6 years).
